André Gutierrez has 15 years of experience in strategic brand-building and communications.
Prior to working with Gargiulo + Partners, André led several positioning and naming projects at
FutureBrand, with clients ranging from Telefónica to Zurich Financial Services. He also helped
pioneer the field of "audio branding," the strategic use of music and sound as brand-building tools,
with clients like Verizon and IBM. André was a director at BrandPartners, managing retail branding
and design with clients such as UPS and Integra Bank. In 2009, he managed Orbitz' LGBT integrated brand
marketing initiatives, including an award-winning television ad that incorporated HRC. In 2010 he advised
Pfizer on its internal brand communications for LGBT employees.
Prior to his career in branding, André taught English and American Literature in Athens, Greece.
He holds a B.S.F.S from Georgetown University and an M.A. from the Monterey Institute. André speaks fluent Spanish.
